Interior Components Supplier for the Automotive Industry in Pontiac, MI is looking for a Cost Estimator to work as a Direct Hire. Salary
Benefits. You will work with a cross-functional team to analyze quote packages, facilitates gathering and documenting cost inputs, and develops cost models in a timely manner for new business opportunities. Specific plastic and injections molding parts industry experience is highly desirable!
Client: Automotive Industry
Location: Pontiac, MI (No remote work)
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITES
Works with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management and Sales to secure the necessary information for proper quotations
Develops accurate and consistent estimates/cost models within the time frame specified for the quote response
Acts as the focal point for questions concerning specifics of quotes and proposals
Participates in the development and improvement of methods and tools used for cost estimating
Supports the presentation of
executive
summaries
Assists as needed to prepare customer quote responses
Logs and maintains database of quotations
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
3 to 5 years minimum experience is required.
Engineering undergraduate degree with significant business and/or finance experience, or an undergraduate degree in finance/business with significant manufacturing experience.
Proficiency in financial analysis, including understanding of costs, margins, EBITDA, IRR, etc.
Working knowledge of product manufacturing and assembly, preferably within the automotive industry
Ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems
Capability to independently perform assignments with instruction limited to the results expected
Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word and working knowledge of Power Point
Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department and across the organizationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
