Shall support manufacturing operations including machining, fabrication and assembly processes by leading and evangelizing lean and quality programs and initiatives.
Oversee Quality Assurance Group that:
Drives quality and LEAN programs.
Identifies quality problems and areas for improvement, cost savings, scrap reduction, and time savings.
Applies lean manufacturing principles to solve quality problems in areas such as processes, process control, assembly techniques, tooling, equipment, product design, ergonomics and standards.
Collaborates with operations management and manufacturing teams to develop and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Develops and improves metric systems to ensure manufacturing processes, supplier materials, and assembled products meet customer specifications.
Audits and facilitates supply chain improvements.
