Director of Nursing
Job Description:
Care of residents in a leadership capacity over a staff of nursing professionals.
24/7 accountability.
Reports, reporting, and working with the Administrator to make sure all elements of resident care are delivered at the highest level of quality and professionalism.
Training/development, hiring, coaching, discipline and release of employees.
Calls interdepartmental meetings regularly to review practices, policies and quality concerns.
Prepares for annual audit and anticipates actions necessary to receive a clean bill of health for the facility.
Ability to establish clear goals and objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
BA/BS in Nursing or Nursing Admin from an accredited University.
Unencumbered Licensure in MI.
3 years nursing experience.
3 years supervisory experience (including hiring, training, disciplining, and reviewing).
Excellent interpersonal and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work well with and across teams, while forming relationships quickly.
Knowledge of all state and federal regulations relating to nursing homes.
Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of industry developments through active participation in trade associations and/or subscription to trade journals.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
